Camp in a Box
Camp-In-A-Box’s mission is to assist groups in experiencing the wilderness through outdoor adventures. We work with groups of any age, keeping it affordable, and let people experience God in the wildness of His creation.
Pastor John Tuttle had the vision for Camp-In-A-Box. He then shared the idea with me (Jeremy Wright) and I began to pray about the Camp-In-A-Box. About three months later I felt God was giving me the go ahead to pursue the project. I began to look at what we would need to start Camp-In-A-Box. Pastor John and I went down to a camp board he served on and asked for some start-up funding. They were gracious enough to support us. Since receiving that support we have bought four kayaks. We also work with Fire-Up Network using their equipment. The use of this equipment allows Camp-In-A-Box to offer many different outdoor activities like backpacking, canoeing, rock climbing, kayaking, and mountain biking trips. So far we have gone on two rock climbing trips. The kids that participated had a great time and can’t wait for the spring to go again.
