Statement of Faith
GOD
God is our loving Creator and ruler of all life. He is the one true God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Spirit. He is worthy of love, honor, and respect.The Bible
The Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments, records God's interaction with humanity, reveals his plan of salvation worked out in history, and unveils our eternal future. Given by divine inspiration, it is the written Word of God, the only unfailing and authoritative rule of faith and practice.Humanity
We are physical and spiritual beings with moral conscience and responsibility. Created pure and upright by God, humanity has followed a path of disobedience. As such, we become separated from a wholesome relationship with God, come under the influence of Satan, and are faced with death and impending judgement.God offers mercy to us. Our only hope for reconciliation and new life is through faith in Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Saved, we become participants in God's Kingdom, changing to become like Him in character, carrying out His works, and proclaiming His message.
When Christ returns, the just will be raised to the resurrection of life, and the lost to eternal damnation. The righteous will share with Christ the perfection of new creation.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ, our Lord, is the only mediator capable of restoring the relationship between God and man. Before time began, a plan was put into place for the unique, eternal, Son of God to create all things and to share our humanity completely.Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, demonstrated power over Satan, suffered death for our sins, arose physically, and ascended into Heaven.
He now guides His church, intercedes for His people, and brings healing to their lives. He is our peace. This age will be complete with the personal return of Jesus: to raise the dead, judge all people, and establish His reign. Jesus will then give all things to God the Father.
